Cory Schut

Pastor

Cory’s walk with God came to life in 1997 on a Discipleship Training School with Youth With a Misison (YWAM).  Serving YWAM as a volunteer staff member in the Cook Islands, he met Elisa whom he married, and together they moved to Sydney completing further theological studies. Cory joined the WIC team in 2008. Cory and Elisa have four children, Lilah, Luka, Kaiden and Ashley.

Cory’s desire is that youth will know Christ and the power of His resurrection and share in His sufferings; encountering God and reveal Him to the world around them.

Jeane Finnegan

Associate Pastor

In 2009 Jeane left a business career as a Change Management Practitioner to follow a call from God to be trained for ministry.  She joined Wesley Mission in 2012 and has served across a variety of ministry roles including chaplaincy and pastoral care.  In early 2019 Jeane joined the Wesley International Congregation as an Associate pastor.

Jeane is passionate about Jesus and equipping the Church to be the Church He has called us to be in our day.  She believes that every Christian is a minister who has been gifted to serve God where He has placed them.  She loves to come alongside people, help them to discover and grow in their gifts and to use those gifts for the glory of God.

To relax Jeane loves to walk in nature, read a good book, see a movie or a play and enjoy tasty food and belly laughs with friends and family.

Ronit Roy

Youth Ministry Director

Ronit is passionate about the Word and the truth of the Word coming to life in people’s lives! He decided to follow Jesus in 2003, was inspired to serve the youth ministry at his previous church in 2010 and decided to study and train in pastoral ministry in 2012. After finishing Bible College and higher ed. Theological training, his studies have made him more passionate about making Jesus known and seeing His life transform young people from the inside out. Ronit came to serve at WIC in January 2017 and he calls this community home.

After a challenging set of circumstances caused him to step away from serving in ministry for several months in 2019, Ronit is excited to be back as the WIC Youth Director serving the amazing young people in our church.

He prays that for the rest of his life, by the grace of God, he will obey the instruction of Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Ronit prays that his life would continue to testify to the faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
