Cory’s walk with God came to life in 1997 on a Discipleship Training School with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Serving YWAM as a volunteer staff member in the Cook Islands, he met Elisa whom he married, and together they moved to Sydney completing further theological studies. Cory joined the WIC team in 2008.

Ronit Roy-McGrath
Youth Pastor, City and Ryde.
Ronit is passionate about the Word and the truth of God’s Word coming to life in people’s lives! Ronit decided to follow Jesus in 2003, was inspired to serve in youth ministry in 2010 and decided to train in pastoral ministry & theology from 2012-2018. He came to serve at WIC in January 2017 and has called this church home since.
Ronit has been married to his lovely wife Anastasia since July 2024. His prayer for the rest of his life, by the grace of God, is to obey the instruction of Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

Luvena Kurniawan
Children Ministry Director, City
Luvena has always been passionate about Children’s ministry. She has served in various roles within Kingdom Kids.
She loves reading and one of the books that changed her view in teaching is “Show them Jesus” by Jack Klumpenhower.
Luvena is married to a very supportive husband, Jimmy and has two boys, Jordan and Josiah who inspired and challenged her in so many ways.
Isaiah 54:13 is one of her favourite verse for Children’s ministry. “All children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” God will be the ultimate teacher.

Michelle Yu
Family Life Director, Ryde
Michelle’s passion is to see individuals, families and communities made whole and healthy through authentic intimate relationship with God, within loving faith-filled communities.
After thirty years serving in the allied health sector, Michelle went on to do a Masters of Counselling, and in early 2025, responded to God’s call to serve at WIC in Family Life ministry.
Michelle is married to her biggest supporter, Sid, and is blessed to be the mother to three daughters, Emily, Chloe and Bethany.
Ephesians 3:14-19 is Michelle’s prayer for all God’s children, young and old.
V19. “May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God”
